Who is JobNimbus?

JobNimbus is the SMB volume leader in roofing software, with more than 8,000 roofing companies on the platform. It is an all-in-one roofing CRM and project management tool: boards, contacts, estimates, invoices, payments, financing, supplier integrations, and an open API, plus the SumoQuote proposal tool it acquired. Since November 2024 it has been majority-owned by private equity firm Sumeru after a $330 million investment.

Pricing is quote-based. The plans are sized by seats, Essentials up to 3 users, Pro up to 10, Premium up to 19, and Enterprise beyond that, and third parties report typical bills around $225 a month and up. There are no required onboarding fees, a real 14-day free trial with no credit card, and monthly or annual agreements. Texting comes through the Engage add-on and lead generation through a paid Marketing Bundle.

For a roofing company that runs on pipelines and wants supplier and QuickBooks connections, JobNimbus is a safe, well-supported pick. What it does not do is answer your phone or market for you out of the box.

Who is Autopilot?

Autopilot is an all-in-one CRM built for home service businesses: junk removal, cleaning, landscaping, moving, and the rest of the trades that keep neighborhoods running. Plans start at $49 a month for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and online booking. Crew at $99 adds two-way texting and limited calling. Full Throttle at $149 adds the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools. Plans include 1, 5, or 10 team members respectively.

It was built by a founder who ran his own junk removal company and got tired of paying for three tools that didn't talk to each other. Over 400 businesses run on it today, and it holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store and 4.9 on Google Play.

Against JobNimbus, the pitch is everything around the job board: Autopilot answers and books your calls with an AI receptionist, texts from a real business line, and runs your review and campaign marketing, included in a flat plan instead of quoted add-ons.

The bottom line

Two different tools for two different businesses. Here is the honest split.

Choose JobNimbus if…

  • You are a roofing company that lives in project boards and wants the most widely used roofing CRM
  • You want SumoQuote-style proposal documents and supplier integrations in the job file
  • You need an open API and webhooks to connect other software
  • You have an office person handling calls, so a phone system in the CRM does not matter

Choose Autopilot if…

  • You miss calls on the roof and want an AI receptionist answering and booking them, included
  • You want texting from day one without buying a communications add-on
  • You want reviews, SMS blasts, and email campaigns built in instead of a quoted marketing bundle
  • You want a published flat price, $49 to $149 a month, instead of a sales call to find out the cost

Switching from JobNimbus takes an afternoon

Four steps, and our team does the heavy one for you.

  1. 1

    Export your customers

Pull your client list out of JobNimbus as a CSV. Every FSM platform supports this, and it takes about five minutes.

  2. 2

    We import everything for you

Send us the file and our team loads your customers, jobs, and price book into Autopilot as part of free onboarding. No spreadsheet wrestling on your end.

  3. 3

Point your phone number at Autopilot

On Full Throttle, keep your existing business number. We port it or forward it, so calls start landing in Autopilot with recording, transcripts, and the AI receptionist behind them.

  4. 4

Run both for a week, then cut over

Your JobNimbus account keeps working during your free trial. Most crews book their first Autopilot job on day one and cancel the old subscription within the month.

JobNimbus exports contacts and jobs as CSVs, and our team imports them for you during free onboarding.
