Who is LawnPro?

LawnPro is budget lawn care software aimed at solo and micro operators. It covers the basics: customer records, scheduling, estimates, invoicing, and online payments, with a free plan for up to 25 customers so a brand-new operator can start without paying anything.

Paid plans run $39 a month (Startup, 3 employee logins), $129 (Grow, 7 logins), and $249 (Plus, 15 logins), with a free trial and no card required. Some of the important extras sit high on the ladder: two-way texting and QuickBooks sync are included on the $249 Plus plan and cost extra below it, and automated review requests start on the Grow plan.

For a one-person mowing route that just needs to send invoices, LawnPro's free and $39 tiers are genuinely hard to beat on price. It is not trying to be your phone system, your marketing engine, or your receptionist.

Who is Autopilot?

Autopilot is an all-in-one CRM built for home service businesses: junk removal, cleaning, landscaping, moving, and the rest of the trades that keep neighborhoods running. Plans start at $49 a month for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and online booking. Crew at $99 adds two-way texting and limited calling. Full Throttle at $149 adds the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools. Plans include 1, 5, or 10 team members respectively.

It was built by a founder who ran his own junk removal company and got tired of paying for three tools that didn't talk to each other. Over 400 businesses run on it today, and it holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store and 4.9 on Google Play.

Against LawnPro, the question is whether you want a cheap invoicing tool or one flat-priced system that also answers your phone, texts your customers, and runs your marketing.

The bottom line

Two different tools for two different businesses. Here is the honest split.

Choose LawnPro if…

  • You are a solo operator with a couple dozen customers and the free plan covers you
  • Your whole need is scheduling and invoicing at the lowest possible price
  • You track chemical applications and want that built into a lawn-specific tool
  • You do not want or need software touching your phones or marketing

Choose Autopilot if…

  • You miss calls while you are on a mower and want an AI receptionist catching them
  • You want two-way texting and limited calling on Crew at $99, with plans starting at $49
  • You want clear team limits of 1, 5, or 10 members across the $49, $99, and $149 plans
  • You want review requests, SMS campaigns, and email marketing in the same system

Switching from LawnPro takes an afternoon

Four steps, and our team does the heavy one for you.

  1. 1

    Export your customers

Pull your client list out of LawnPro as a CSV. Every FSM platform supports this, and it takes about five minutes.

  2. 2

    We import everything for you

Send us the file and our team loads your customers, jobs, and price book into Autopilot as part of free onboarding. No spreadsheet wrestling on your end.

  3. 3

Point your phone number at Autopilot

On Full Throttle, keep your existing business number. We port it or forward it, so calls start landing in Autopilot with recording, transcripts, and the AI receptionist behind them.

  4. 4

Run both for a week, then cut over

Your LawnPro account keeps working during your free trial. Most crews book their first Autopilot job on day one and cancel the old subscription within the month.

LawnPro exports your customer list as a CSV, and our onboarding team imports it for free.
