Who is Sameday AI?
Sameday AI is a Y Combinator-backed startup that builds AI phone agents for home service businesses: an AI receptionist that answers and books appointments, an AI CSR for billing questions and rescheduling, an AI dispatcher, and an AI salesperson that pitches memberships and upsells. It has answered over 2 million calls across the trades and claims its agents book over 92 percent of jobs. It integrates as an official partner with ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, FieldRoutes, and Service Fusion, plus Zapier and custom APIs.
Unlike most of the AI wave, Sameday publishes pricing: Launch starts at $449 a month with 500 minutes, Scale at $789 a month with 1,000 minutes and voice cloning, and Enterprise is custom with multilingual voices and API access. Plans scale by monthly minutes, and it advertises zero surprise fees. Contract and free trial terms are not published.
Sameday is one of the most direct comparisons to Autopilot's AI receptionist, and it does the answering job well. The structural difference is that Sameday is only the phone layer: you still need and pay for a field service platform underneath it, while Autopilot ships the AI and the CRM as one product.
Who is Autopilot?
Autopilot is an all-in-one CRM built for home service businesses: junk removal, cleaning, landscaping, moving, and the rest of the trades that keep neighborhoods running. Plans start at $49 a month for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and online booking. Crew at $99 adds two-way texting and limited calling. Full Throttle at $149 adds the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools. Plans include 1, 5, or 10 team members respectively.
It was built by a founder who ran his own junk removal company and got tired of paying for three tools that didn't talk to each other. Over 400 businesses run on it today, and it holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store and 4.9 on Google Play.
Autopilot plans start at $49 a month, and the $149 Full Throttle plan includes the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools.
